Mr Sachin Sookna holds a BSc (Hons) in Agriculture with Natural Resource Management and an MSc in Project Management from University of Mauritius. He started his career at Medine Limited in 2008.

He joined the MCAF Ltd in 2012 as Technical Officer. He was then promoted to the post of Marketing Manager in 2016 where he was responsible for the Importation, Sales, Marketing and R&D Department. He had also under his responsibility, the Seedling Production Unit at La Marie. Mr S.Sookna had also been trained in Bio fertilizer production from IFFCO, India and he is presently the President of Croplife (Mauritius).

In March 2022, he was appointed the General Manager of the Federation.

With these advent of challenging responsibilities due to diversification of our business activities, on 01st November 2022, Mr. Sachin Sookna was nominated as the Chief Executive Officer by the Board of Directors of the Federation. So as to be aligned with the new business model and strategies of the Mauritius Co-operative Agricultural Federation Ltd.
