MCAF Achievements

Over the 68 years of its existence, the MCAF has made substantial progress. One of its greatest achievements has been on the financial side. The reserves of the MCAF have grown from slightly over Rs125,000.00 in 1975 to over Rs 71.0 m in 2018. This is mainly attributed to the success of its commercial operations and sound management.

The Fertiliser Project has been a total success at all levels. The MCAF is one of the biggest fertilizer distributors of the island. It commands 25% of the fertilizer market share of the country.

LAND & BUILDINGS

In 1982 the MCAF erected a building of 7000 ft²at Caudan in a portion of 65 perches of lease land.
In 2006 the MCAF has constructed a new building of 3600ft² known as the “MCAF & IFFCO complex” at l`Escalier in a portion of land which it has purchased in 1998.
The MCAF and the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Co-operative (IFFCO) has developed a good relationship since 1995 and both organisations often organise study tours to exchange views and ideas. A memorandum of understanding was signed by the two organisations and IFFCO has helped financially for the construction of the new building.
In 2015 – Construction of a New two storey Building at La Marie with a total area of 4,300 ft².
